Our Mission
At The Whole Approach, our mission is to bring clarity, compassion, and confidence to the journey of living with dogs. We believe change begins with an understanding of both canine and human needs, and grows through patience, practice, and trust.
We are dedicated to creating a kinder world for dogs and their guardians, where behaviour is not judged but supported, and every step forward strengthens the bond between them.

Our Services

Whether you’re looking for focused one-to-one guidance or the shared learning of a workshop, we offer approaches that meet you where you are, and help you move forward together.
To begin, we offer a free phone consultation of up to 30 minutes - a chance to talk through your needs, ask questions, and decide on the right path forward for you and your dog.

Behaviour Modification
Our behaviour consultations provide structured, science-led support for dogs displaying any unwanted behaviours.
Each session is tailored to understand the underlying causes, develop practical strategies, and build long-term change.
Designed to support both dog and guardian, with expert guidance every step of the way.

Training Packages
Our one-to-one training plans focus on building skills, confidence, and communication through positive reinforcement.
Each plan is tailored to your goals, whether you're working on recall, loose lead walking, or everyday manners.
You’ll receive structured guidance, practical exercises, and ongoing support to help you and your dog thrive.

Workshops
Our approachable, humans-only workshops explore the science behind canine behaviour in a supportive space.
Learn practical skills, positive reinforcement techniques and fun games to strengthen your bond.

Pricing
Behaviour Modification
Consultation Package £235
This package combines in-depth assessment with practical support, giving you both understanding and clear next steps.
It includes:
Initial assessment at your home (2 hours) - exploring your dog’s behaviour in detail, with tailored starter training exercises to begin right away
Two further practical training sessions (1 hour each) - hands-on coaching to guide progress and refine techniques
Behaviour Modification Plan - Following the initial assessment, you will be provided with a written report and step-by-step training plan, including printable worksheets for your convenience
Ongoing support - WhatsApp, email, and telephone support between sessions to answer questions and keep you on track
Mileage included - travel within 15 miles of Catwick (HU17)
Additional Behaviour Sessions
Depending on your dog’s progress, further sessions may be recommended after your initial consultation package. These are charged at £60 per hour, plus mileage beyond a 15-mile radius of Catwick.
Training Sessions
These sessions focus on everyday training skills such as recall, loose-lead walking, calm settling, and enrichment and are tailored to your specific needs
They include:
1-2-1 practical support, along with a tailored training plan and materials to support your training journey.
Individual Session - £45 (1 hour, in-person)
Training Package - £120 (3 x 1-hour sessions)

Listening With Our Eyes: Understanding Canine Body Language
Designed to help you recognise and interpret the subtle signals dogs use to communicate.
By learning to “listen with your eyes,” you’ll deepen your understanding, strengthen your bond, and respond with greater confidence.

Full-Day Workshop - £65
Reactivity & Resilience: Understanding Dogs, Supporting Ourselves
A full-day workshop dedicated to both canine behaviour and guardian wellbeing.
The morning explores the science of canine reactivity and what it means for everyday life. The afternoon focuses on practical management tools and strategies designed to support both you and your dog’s wellbeing.
